  1. Installation
  2. ------------
  3. To INSTALL Visual Calendar Planner, you need a file called VBRUN300.DLL in 
  4. your \WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory. This file is common to many windows 
  5. applications, so I decided not to include it. 
  6.  
  7. If you don't have VBRUN300.DLL, you can get a copy from the following sites:
  8. 1. CompuServe: GO WINSHARE forum, lib #10, filename-VBRUN3.ZIP
  9. 2. Internet: ftp://inklineglobal.com/win31/vbrun300.zip or visit our website

  13. After the required steps mentioned above taken by you, run INSTALL.EXE
  14.

  16. Known Problems or Frequently Encountered Problems
  17. -------------------------------------------------
  18. 1. If you encounter any problem installing Visual Calendar Planner, 
  19. for example, some messages telling you "CTL3DV2.DLL is in use" or "xxxx.VBX 
  20. is in use", exit the installation process and restart Microsoft Windows. 
  21. This will give you a clean bootup with no conflict with other files 
  22. currently being used.

  25. 2. THREED.VBX causes conflicts with different versions. For various reasons,
  26. I did not copy THREED.VBX to \WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory. If you come across
  27. complains from THREED.VBX, take the following measures:
  28.  
  29. a. Rename the file THREED.VBX to THREED.OLD in your C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM
  30.    directory
  31. b. Copy the file THREED.VBX which resides in \3DVCP31 (or the directory where
  32.    Visual Calendar Planner resides) to C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory
  33. c. Restart windows and the problem should go away
  34.

  36. 3. Sometimes the calendar will look wierd with some shadows of white and
  37. gray. The problem is related to (3) again. Please follow the instructions
  38. mentioned above.

  41. 4. If the program complains that "MSAJT112.DLL is missing" or "MSAJT200.DLL
  42. is missing", please make sure in your C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory the
  43. date of the following files:

  45. MSAJT110.DLL    Size: 710,752 bytes    Date: May-20-93
  46. MSAES110.DLL    Size: 33,280  bytes    Date: Apr-28-93
  47. VBDB300.DLL     Size: 95,200  bytes    Date: Apr-28-93

  49. If any of the files in your C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory does not match
  50. the above-mentioned date or size, please copy ALL the above-mentioned
  51. files to your C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory irregardless of the presence
  52. of a newer date or version's file.
